I wondered off, stretching my wings, still hanging on without Akuma taking over. Suddenly, all went black.

I couldn't say anything, but I could feel people dragging into something.

I rolled my eyes.
ReplyDelete"Can you go hunting at least? We need food and I need to stay here with Arcana."

I groaned, but got up and walked away, my talons clicking on the ground. I sniffed the air, my eyes zooming into the trees above. I was already quite far from where Aether was. Then, I saw something above me. I narrowed my eyes, and realized it was an aircraft. I snarled as creatures and humans slid down from ropes. they surrounded me. I eyed them all, and gasped as something stung my leg. I looked to see an electric rope gripping my leg. I gasped as another one was wrapped around my front leg. Then, my legs were pulled out from under me. The shocks were unbearble, and I felt myself start to fade. I screeched, trying to alert Aether before I passed out.

I snarled at them, completely shedding my human form. I was roped, though a few people turned into ash before they got me. Then I was thrown in a cage, and taken in a dark place.

I woke up. It was pitch black, that not even my eagle eyes could pierce it. I tried to stand up, but found myself chained down tightly, so I had to stay on my side.

My vision cleared and I saw Father, in his purple robes and a beard that was long skinny and black, he was comepletely bald except for a pony tail on his bald head. I realized I was in battle armor "Dad! NO!" I screamed "Ziron! Ziron!"
ReplyDeleteMy father smiled "Your dragon is being sized for his armor, I have a new army of Lizard Men for you to lead into battle, and one... lost spirit."
Ryder's shimmering form glittered above me "Welcome home." he leered "Fell for my trick. That crystal was supposed to kill you. It didn't work, so now, you're being sent into battle to die."
I spat in his face "Traitor!" I growled, pulling at my chains "Traitor!" tears streamed down my face "I loved you!"
He laughed "That my dear. Was the point."

"So that's what a shadow demon looks like." I heard one voice say.
ReplyDelete"No wonder there's only two. That's creepy. We lost 5 men just to get it in the cage."
I snarled, pulling back a bit so I looked human with a few demon features.
"You have no right to keep me in here! I am not sworn under the oath!" I snarled. The two men took steps back, pointing weapons at me.
"Shadow demons can't die, genius." I spat.
"But your human half can." One of them snapped back.
I gripped at the bars, seeing them blacken but not weaken.

I heard voices then.
ReplyDelete"A Griffin will be good to use. We just have to make him stay a Griffin. But we have an injection for that."
I stiffened and screeched. The men turned towards me.
"Oh you're awake."
I eyed them warily.
"Let me out. You don't know who you're dealing with!"
The men laughed.
"We do, actually."
They stuck a stick through the bars, and I felt a jolt go through me.

My father laughed and walked away, "Jaqueline, stop being so unladylike! We will never find you a suitor. We have many who would love to have, comeplete control over a strong spirit like you." he spat over his shoulder leaving me crying in the corner of my cell "No..." I croaked "No..."

Then I realized something. I bent the bars, easily crawling out.
ReplyDeleteThe men took a few steps back, firing their guns wildly, but missed.
"Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere." I said, sitting on top of the cage and spreading my wings out, still grabbing at the shackle around my neck.
"I just needed more room."

I woke up again, and this time I could see better. There were other cages around me. I was human now, and I looked to the cage beside me to see a cat like creature lying on it's side. My mind reeled. Is it dead? Then it moved, and it was looking at me.

I sighed, looking at the soldiers that were staring at me, half angry and half scared.
ReplyDelete"You know what. I'll cooperate, if you stop pointing those guns at me." I said calmly, no longer in my demon form and slowly Daku took over my thoughts.
"Yeah, right, You'll just escape." The taller guard on the right growled.
"Well, I like winning, and killing, so there's no reason not to help the war. I mean, it would be better than killing all of you."
The guards paused, thinking it over, one have a curt nod, pressing a button on a key chain and the shackle came off. I made no move to escape. Why would I?

ReplyDeleteI stared at the creature, and it moved slightly, the little lighting flashing off of it. I narrowed my eyes, wishing I had my eagle's eyes. It's eyes were ice blue, and it was pure white.
"Who are you?"
The creature lifted it's head, and I realized it was a dragon. Though, full grown.
"My name is Atlas. If you are wondering about my size, it's because my breed is a smaller breed. My partner-"
"Partner? Is that your rider?"
"Where I come from, "Rider" is a word of disgrace. It makes it seem like the person owns us! When we work together. So we use Partner."
I nodded, and Atlas continued.
:~~Rayan:
I rolled my eyes at the Griffin-Human.
"As I was saying. My partner. They took him. They ripped him from me. When they captured us. I don't know what they did with him... But. I think they killed him."
The griffin tilted his head.
"Wouldn't that have killed you?"
I sighed.
"They ripped him from me. They broke our bond, so it wouldn't kill me! They knew we would never be in the war with them, so they took him. And they're going to force me to have a RIDER control me!"
I roared, and felt a shock go through the unbreakable chains around my legs.
"Be quiet now, before you get us both killed."
I turned my head away, hearing him say something else.
"By the way, my name's Rayan. Maybe we could work together."
I didn't respond, i jsut tried to cope with my loss.

"W-What?" I called, looking around in confusion. Sudden noises came and then faded away. What had happened?

I followed the guards through a corridor. I felt something furry brush my legs, and I looked down. A cat was looking at me with lamp-like eyes, and when I turned around it started following me behind the guards.

I was buffeted into Jackie's chamber. "Ziron!" she called, tears running down her cheeks, I ran over to my rider.

Jackie nodded "I sure hope so."
This time without Ryder. I added
Jackie chuckled "Yea."
I sat next to her, curling near her to keep Jackie warm
We, are all we need. We are family. I told her, and she smiled, resting her head against my neck
"You got that right." She replied

Then, a light was turned on. I gasped, shielding my eyes. Guards walked by each cage. There were only a few others. Some water creatures, different bird types. I felt myself change, and cursed under my breath. I tried to stretch my wings out, but the cage was too small. Then, the top of the cage opened, and a man was standing above me. I snapped wildly at the air, but the chains restricted me. A heavy metal collar was slipped around my neck, despite my thrashing. It pulled tight around my neck, and I gasped for air, collapsing. The strangling stopped, and something else was put over my mouth. A muzzle? I felt like a stupid animal! I screeched and threw myself upwards, only to feel a sharp jolt go through my leg, and the collar pulled tight again. I twisted around, the chains around my legs rubbing them raw. My talons clawed frantically at the metal collar around my throat. The men laughed, and I felt another jolt go through me. Why couldn't I change back! I fell down again, feeling my airway open again. My eyes rolled at the men, but I had tired myself out. Just what they wanted. My mouth was pulled upwards, my neck jerking. I gasped, and something was poured down my throat. A gooey substance, then power. I gagged and choked, trying to pull my head down to spit it out, but that only resulted in a jolt. The power and goo went down my throat. They released my head and I coughed some more. I then felt my wings being jerked around. I screeched, then stopped as pain shot through me. They pulled my wings straight behind me, tying them. Then I heard a snarl. I turned my head slightly to see Atlas, his eyes raging with fury.

"We are not toys to be played with! We are not your instruments!"
I growled. I had watched the young Griffin being tortured, and I had had enough. I roared, and fire shot out of my mouth. The men scrambled away, but my flames caught a few. Burning them into nothing. But before I could destroy some more, a thick fire proof muzzle was strapped around me, and my head was latched to the floor.
:~~Atlas:
I blinked in gratitude to Atlas, and tried to control myself as they held Atlas down. I was tied up. I couldn't do anything. My mouth was covered, my talons were covered in protectors, and my wings were strapped down. I was theirs. The front of the cage was pulled open, and I was yanked out. I stumbled to my feet, my legs bleeding. I swiveled my ears to where some men were. The same ones who poured that stuff down my throat.
"That should keep him a Griffin for a while. We'll just have to give it some more when it wears off."
I shook with anger as I realized that I was stuck as a Griffin, until it "wore off" When would that be!? And IT! I was not an it! I snarled, and was yanked forwards. They were taking me somewhere, but where?
:~~Rayan:
I realized we reached the captain when I saw all the controls behind one man. The guards escorted me to him.
ReplyDelete"Sir, someone wants to talk to you." The taller one said. The man nodded, his back still turned, and reached for the autopilot switch when I knew he felt my presence. He stiffened, and the aircraft lurched for a few seconds, before the Captain seemed to regain control and pulled the autopilot lever. Shakily, he turned around.
"Why did you let him out?" he growled.
"He says he wants to negotiate, sir." The other guard said. The Captain narrowed his eyes, but looked at me.
"I am willing to cooperate and be a ally to you in this war, if you don't treat me like an experiment." I told him.
Even though I was. I thought.
>Daku<
I looked around the fields, trying to sense a ounce of shadow-demon. We walked, because we were in our human forms.
ReplyDelete"Maybe the trail is masked." I growled, frustrated at the fact that we still haven't found a demon.

I rolled my eyes "What did you expect?! They would be sitting waiting for their destruction.

"Well, it's not like they know we're coming." I commented, still streaking across the fields.
ReplyDelete"Hopefully we find something soon. This is boring."

"I will take it up with the king when we land." the Captain said, just as that cat walked in, who sat down and stared at me.
"Alright." I agreed.
Yeah, i'm not landing anywhere.

I closed my eyes "Yea, I know."

I focused on my thoughts.

Roi stiffened, sensing a wall of bright light, slamming into his mind. He shook his head to clear it, Kahn growling in annoyance.

I touched a tree sapling, and light spread through it, making it grow.

I seemed to feel pressure from Kahn as well, and I pressed my hands to my head because of the pain.

"Alright." I said, looking worried, then turned my attention to Roi, eying the young boy.

I dragged my feet along, my beck heavy and starting to become bare. I heard roars behind me, and knew that they were trying to get Atlas under control. I was dragged into a room. I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw it. There were many other creatures here, all tied up, unable to move. As they were... fitted. Heavy armor on the smallest of backs, and spiked artillery. I screeched and backed up on my back legs. I didn't want to be a fighter in the war! What if Aether and Arcana are hurt! I snarled as they pulled me between two unbreakable bars. Then, I felt my legs strapped tight, and every part of me that I could move to fight, was restrained.

I watched Rayan be dragged from the room. I snarled as they restrained all my fighting efforts.

I blinked, and suddenly the kid was gone.

I shadow-traveled to where Aether and Zhan were, panting because it took a lot out of me.
"They're... on to me." I said.
>Roi<
I stood up quickly.

"I'm not sure... there's two of them, giving off light energy." I said, then frowned, looking worried.

How they in the war?! He's been gone for quite a while. For almost a day... I just thought he went off to think or something... but I'm getting worried now.

I struggled in vain as different armor's were thrown on me, and different battle helmets fitted. Most of them were too tight, and hurt badly.

I nodded, and followed, Zhan close behind me and not saying anything.
ReplyDelete"They kept asking me what I was, like if I said a certain thing then they would fight me." I said.
"So I lied, and said I was a Sorcerer, but I don't think they were buying it. One looked like he was about to kill me." I said, shuddering.

I took a breath in, releasing shadows and dark energy. It was very calm, so the guards passed out without being alarmed.
Oh.. I don't think I know how to fly this thing. I thought, the aircraft starting to lurch again. The cat looked at my skeptically.

"What were they?"

"They seem to be like me... except different. It's hard to explain. And I could've sworn I heard a aircraft a couple of hours ago or so...."

The aircraft was dipping lower.
"Well, it's time for me to get out of this place, but not killing anyone....." I said, concentrating, and the guards and captain started to wake up. I tore a hole in the metal floor, seeing the landscape below.
"Bombs away.."I said, but then something brushed against my leg again. It was the cat.
"What? Do you want to come?" I said. The cat just blinked.
"Oh... alright..?" I said, holding my hands out, and the cat leaped into my arms.
"Bye bye.." I said finally, leaping out of the aircraft.

An aircraft? That's not good. We've stayed here too long. We should've left earlier. They may be tracking us...

I woke up in the cage again. My muscles and limbs were sore. I don't remember being brought back to the cage. I looked beside me and saw Atlas.
"You okay?"
The dragon lifted his head.
"Yea. Went through something similar to you."
I nodded, wondering when Aether would come.

"Maybe we should take to the air. It's risky but it might help."

I spread out my wings, coasting back to the rubble of the once great country. I set the cat down, who looked up at me. I looked at it curiously, then looked at the sky, the aircraft seeming to regain control.
"I should've done something to stop them, like change their minds..." I murmured, and then looked back at the cat that was no longer there. Where it had been, a girl was standing, grinning at me.

I nodded. And leaped into some tree's, Arcana watching from my arms.

"Atlas. If we get out, would you like to work together? I need to find my sister and Guardian... and... I just want this war to end."
I spoke very quietly, leaned up against the side of the cage closest to Atlas.

I stumbled back.
ReplyDelete"Thanks for rescuing me." she said, winking. "My name is Shi, I'm a sorceress." Shi said.
"Oh..." I said, regaining balance. "I'm Daku."
"I know." Shi said.

I followed , still feeling the press of those two guys against my thoughts.

I woke up from a daze. I stiffened and looked around me, metal bars and walls reaching up everywhere.
ReplyDelete"Hello...?" I called softly, afraid the guards would come. My small human form shivered, so i stretched out my dragon wings and wrapped them around me, trying to warm myself.

"And I know you don't like this war any more than I do." I told him, and again he looked at me with surprise.
ReplyDelete"C'mon! They'll be able to see you out here if you just stand around. They'll be sure to come back." I said, taking his hand and pulling him along, deeper into the forest.

I opened my eyes smiling. "Greetings Sora." I said, my tone smooth. Tao chuckled inside my head muttering

I stretched my wings "Anyway, good to be out. Now if only Akarui was out, we would hunt demons MUCH Faster together. That boy..." I growled "Anyway."

I sighed, changing into Akarui.

Daku kept going into the forest right behind me, but he stopped dead in his tracks, and I tugged on his hand.
"Sorry.. just... a lot of mental disturbance... a bright light...." he murmured.

I closed my eyes, stiffening "You feel... all that dark energy?!"

My eyes went dark, and wings my wings spread out. Still humaniod but demonic, I sensed the air. Shi observed me with interest.

"ARGH!" I said, letting out a wave of both physical and mental dark energy, causing all the trees around me to collapse.

They're moments talk seemed to give me an ounce of peace in my mind, and I slipped back into human-form.

I shuddered, my head bursting with pain. The lights that were buzzing idly in my head seemed to brighten tenfold, and a feeling of familiar darkness as well. Instead of feeling repulsed by it, I felt drawn.

"You're scum."

"Exactly" I hissed

Involuntarily I closed my wings, plummeting from the sky and sharply landing on the ground. Whatever will I had left, I turned back human, and then younger like when they last saw me. I stumbled through the forest, somehow making my way there.

I looked around in surprise at the blond boy who walked through the trees. He looked at the two light spirits, his eyes widening. "What the..." Somehow I still recognized him

I growled "Ha! I knew you were no wizard! Tao might hav fallen for it but i was no idiot!!"

ReplyDeleteI dived after him, stumbling on my feet as I ran in the direction he went. I looked down at Arcana who seemed to be twisting around. She leaped from my arms, and I rolled onto the ground, stopping.
"Arcana!"
I ran to where she was. I watched, realizing what was happening. She was growing, which meant, she would soon change.
"Arcana..."
She got larger. Finally, she stood up, her legs shaking she shook herself out. She should be able to talk now... I waited for her to say something. She stared at me, her green eyes flickering.
"A-aether?"
I smile split across my face.
"You can talk now. I guess I can't carry you anymore? Eh?"
Arcana rolled her eyes. I started to run again towards where Roi was, Arcana running beside me, having to slow her pace since I only had two feet.
:~~Aether:
I looked at everything as I ran. I had never actually ran, as a team with Aether. I was always being carried, protected. But now I couldn't. Everything seemed smaller then before, and it looked different.
:~~Arcana:
I heard noises, but I was magnetized to the spot. It was even. To points of darkness and two of light. Whatever pain that seared through my head stopped, replaced with an even stronger force of peacefullness.

I blinked, feeling unable to move, I had all the equipment to catch this... Demon scum. I fely Tao taking control, but I was too... still to notice.

I felt the magic ripped away from me, turning me to the age I was, and I glanced at Daku, who glanced at me, as confused as I was.

I looked at my hands, watching the patterns of golden light on the clawed hands shrink back into human ones, and I sighed.

"Odd.." I muttered "But..."

I was filled with understanding of this, but I still said, "What do you mean?"

"Light. Dark. Good. Evil." I said running my fingers hrough my hair "This isn't good. We can't touch eachother."

I peered into the trees, reached out into the open, and pulled down on something unseen. There was a sound of someone falling, and Shi appeared, sitting on the ground with leaves and twigs in her red hair. She got up, brushing herself off and glaring at me.

I smiled, then suddenly stopped. Something had landed inbetween us. It began to beep, insistantly getting louder and faster. My breath caught in my throat, we couldn't move! "G-guys." I gulped running my hand through my hair "Nice knowin' ya."

The pitch became unimaginably high pitched "W-" I was cut off by a loud

and a bright flash.
I was blown backwards, blinded. I was buffeted by many branches, but I felt nothing. I landed, suspended by my belt 20 feet off the ground on a high treebranch. Too afraid to move, I felt the warm flow of blood down my cheeks, I opened y eyes but all I saw was red "Oh... dear god..." I groaned, but it hurt to talk.

With the blink of an eye, and a wave of pain, I was lying face-first on the ground, and looked ground-level to see Shi propped up against the shattered remains of a tree, looking thoroughly battered.

I looked to where I was leaning on a tree , and my clawed hands and wings that didn't seem as damaged, only that my whole body stung.

I stared across the lake. It seemed to be a rather dark shade of green-blue, which only seemed to make it creepy.Like something would pop up and eat me. However, if I didn't go in I'll be sure to dry up. I took off my shoes, and sat down on the hot dry land.I slipped my feet into the water.It felt rather nice.I decided I might as well take a dip before traveling again.So, I removed my clothing quickly and quickly got in. I began to just sink into the water and swim. I noticed the lake wasn't all that deep, so I came back to the surface of the water.I looked around at my surroundings. It was a rather nice place,but I couldn't stay forever.So, I'll keep enjoying to myself and see how long it is 'till the raging war ends.

I looked at Rayan without turning my head. He seemed different in his Griffin form. More... calculated some how.
"How are we going to get out?"
The black griffin shot me a mischievous look.
"If Aether had heard you say that, he would have laughed. Aether, my sister's and mine guardian, he taught me. He always had a way out of every situation. He was... like a hero."
Rayan shook his head, and I stared at him, my heart thumping. I remembered Adrastos then, and my heart split. I closed my eyes. Is he alive? I was snapped back when Rayan spoke.
"What was your ride- sorry- partner like?"
I sighed.
"His name is Adrastos. Where I come from, we don't receive names until we have developed in age and personality. We receive our names based on our personalities. Like my name comes from the Greek Titan, Atlas. he had to carry the weight of of the heaven's on his shoulders. But he also showed mankind the way of astronomy. I was always interested in the sky and stars, and I was very serious. I felt proud when I was put in charge. So they named me Atlas. Adrastos' name means "Undaunted". As he got older, he was always out there. Always being brave. He was never scared of anything. So, they named him Adrastos. It hurts to be without him. And I don't even know if he's alive..."
Rayan didn't say anything else, so I turned my head away and closed my eyes.
